RFK Jr. Must Be Removed—Before More Damage Is Done, Before More Lives Are Lost

The Issue

We are physicians, medical students, and concerned citizens who believe in protecting public health through science and evidence. We cannot stay silent as the nation’s top health agency is led down a path of misinformation and harm.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., now serving as Secretary of Health and Human Services, has a decades-long history of spreading falsehoods about vaccines and promoting conspiracy theories. Many warned he was unfit for this role. Unfortunately, our worst fears have come true.

Since taking office, RFK Jr. has:

• Purged the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee and replaced experts with anti-vaccine activists.
• Interfered with vaccine recommendations, putting millions—including children, pregnant women, and immunocompromised Americans—at risk.
• Undermined food safety regulations and disease surveillance programs.
• Silenced scientists and whistleblowers.
• Invited lobbyists and ideologues to shape health policy based on politics, not evidence.
• Defunded nearly $500 million in mRNA vaccine research, crippling progress in pandemic preparedness and cancer treatment innovation.

He also lied under oath during his confirmation hearings, promising not to interfere with vaccine policy—only to immediately break that promise.

The Consequences
America is already paying the price. Measles, once eliminated, is now resurging. Trust in medicine is eroding. Lives are being endangered. This is not a policy disagreement—it is a public health emergency.

Our Demands
We call on President Donald J. Trump to:

1. Immediately remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from his position as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
2. Restore independent, science-based leadership to HHS and all public health agencies.

Health policy must be guided by evidence, not conspiracy. Public health must make us safer, not put us all at greater risk.
