Remove signature from petition

When you sign a petition, we send a confirmation email to the address on your account (subject usually starts with “You have a message about…”). That email includes a quick way to undo your signature.

Fastest way (from the confirmation email)

  1. Open the confirmation email we sent after you signed.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click “Didn’t sign this petition? Remove your signature.”
  3. If you see a permission error, log in to SignItNow and click the link again.

The removal link is unique to you and expires after 30 days.

If you signed multiple petitions at once

If you signed more than one petition in a single session, your confirmation email will list them together. Use the Remove link next to the specific petition you want to withdraw from.

Don’t have the email or it’s older than 30 days?

No problem—contact us and we’ll help:

  • Click Contact Support in the Help Center, or
  • Email contact@signitnow.org with:
    • Your full name and account email
    • A link to the petition(s) you want to remove your signature from

(We may ask for a bit of info to verify your request before we remove the signature.)
